The second day of our trip was a little bit chilly, or at least too cold to be sitting on the beach. So instead we went over to the Ringling Bros. Circus Museum in Sarasota. I had such a great time walking through the miniature circus and seeing all of the old costumes. It’s a shame that the circus isn’t as mobile as it use to be, I would love to see an elephant walk off a train and into town!

Just seeing all of the amazing citrus avaliable at the farmers market on Siesta Key was enough to make me drool. We ended up with grapefruit and mangos and both were absolutely amazing. Although eating them while sitting on the deck getting ready to go to the beach wasn’t too bad either.

My grandmother makes the worlds best Christmas cookies. Literally, all cookies will be ruined after you try one of these. Not only do they taste amazing, but she has the most magical frosting skills I’ve ever seen. Have you ever seen someone decorate about 500 cookies all exactly perfectly the same? I have. It’s an art. One that I’ve been working on but have yet to master. I decorated the ones pictured. I wasn’t about to compare the two and let you see just how far behind my skills are.

Spending Christmas Day in New York was an amazing experience. First of all, the city was basically empty. So empty that we were able to drive around and see so much and find parking where ever we wanted. I took these photos when we made a quick stop at St. Patricks Cathedral. It’s a beautiful sight on a normal day, but being Christmas made it even more special.
