Ryan and I were running out of work Tuesday night when we were offered 4 tickets to the Red Sox that night. Not just any tickets, amazing seats! The weather was a bit questionable but really, saying no to the Red Sox isn’t an option. So we called two friends to go with us and […]
> Alcatraz is a pretty creepy place in general, but going there at night is definitely not for the easily spooked. The boat ride out to the island is fun and they tell you a lot of good information. Once you get to the island you’ve got to do some pretty serious uphill walking before […]
Telegraph Hill is where San Francisco all came together for me. I could look at a map and then look at the actual landmarks. It definitely helped me get my bearings in the city. Oh, and I almost fell down the side of the hill while trying to pose for a picture. That’s what I […]
Everyone knows you can’t go near an ocean without at least sticking your feet in. I’m not sure that’s a good rule to follow when the Pacific is the ocean. It was cold, really really really cold. But hey, at least we did it!
The Monterey Bay Aquarium is absolutely as good as everyone says it is. It’s definitely one of the biggest I’ve ever seen. There is so much to see and lots of things to interact with. My favorite was definitely the jelly fish, the colors were just so, so bright.
After we got to Monterey we explored the area around our hotel. The surf was huge and it was really windy. I couldn’t take my eyes off the water so stood behind the wall to keep from getting sprayed.
I had the most fabulous coffee date at Pavement coffee this morning. Owned by Bagel Rising and Espresso Royal, this shop opened on Boylston this week. Coffee was so good and so were the bagels. It’s cool inside, lots of cool art to look at and great spots to sit and chat. I will definitely […]
Driving home from Vermont this weekend I passed the Robert Frost Trail and for some reason decided to stop. Growing up in Bristol, VT I can’t tell you how many school trips I took to the trail or how many times I’ve walked it. I didn’t get very far this time because of the mud […]
Easter just wouldn’t be complete without dying a few eggs. I spent the holiday with my family and was in charge of all the little cousins as we dyed away. Luckily it was a beautiful day so the whole activity took place outside. Something tells me there would have been dye everywhere if we had […]
I take no credit for the refinishing of the chair itself, but I did help with the color and pattern choice for the reupholstery. Still working out the logistics of getting the material to actually stick to the seat, but this was a step in the right direction.
