I came home one night to find the Little Red Ped sitting in front of the garage with her guts spilling out. She hadn’t been running all that well lately and Ryan was bound and determined to find out the cause. I insisted it was a minor issue that I could definitely live with and […]
Ryan has a lot of mopeds and lately the collection has definitely grown. I’d been riding the black Suzuki FA50 because the red one and the yellow one were put away on a shelf for the winter. When Ryan decided to sell a few he told me I could pick which one I wanted him […]
The weather was beyond perfect this weekend. I took advantage of the sunshine and rode my bike to a park near by and did some serious summer relaxing. About 50 pages into my book I realized I may be starting to resemble a lobster and that it was probably about time to get out of […]
Memorial Day always calls for a BBQ. And all BBQ’s require toys. We grilled at Coolidge Park in Brookline yesterday, the photo is of all of the toys we brought to play with. We also took advantage of the swings, playground and found a stray basketball to entertain us for a while. The frisbee has […]
Sunny weekend weather usually equals an outdoor adventure. This weekend was no different. Ryan and I took a moped ride to the suburbs and found this castle along the way. It had bars over the windows but the spiral staircase inside was too good to resist. The view from the top really wasn’t all that […]
My first full day in California was spent driving Big Sur and making several stops along the way. Everyone raved about the Big Sur Bakery so we made a stop and it was a good one. We missed dinner but the lattes were great and there was lots to take pictures of. I loved the […]
An unlikely occurrence in Boston, but the weather actually cooperated this weekend. Sunshine, above freezing temperatures and steady 25-30 mph winds combined to create absolutely perfect kite flying conditions. From mid-afternoon until the sun set we flew beautiful kites, took pretty pictures and enjoyed being outside after a long winter.
I got to spend the Super Bowl with really great friends eating tons of delicious food (see next post) but the best part was probably the long hike we took in the woods before the game. We walked a few miles and took some cool pictures along the way. We even ventured out onto a […]
Ryan got a new camera, so naturally we had to play with it. The photos are outside the Institute of Contemporary Art in Boston. It was pretty cold, but the lights and the water were really pretty. It was also fun to walk in the grass, seems like it’s been covered in snow forever!
We may not have had a day off from school but this storm gave me total ‘snow day’ excitement. Sledding, kite flying and snow angels made me feel like I was in elementary school all over again. In the pictures we are buried waist deep in a drift we found in a sand trap on […]
